If you are speaking of a towing bumper where the bumper itself has a hole in it where you can install a trailer ball, there is no adapter available that would lower the ball.
However, if you installed a frame-mounted trailer hitch like the Hidden Hitch # 87195, you could use a ball mount that would place the trailer ball at the perfect height.

None of the trailer hitch mounted spare tire carriers, like # C31006, are what is considered to be a towing carrier. However, what you could do is use a dual purpose ball mount like # D210. With this ball mount you would place the hitch mounted carrier in the receiver portion and tow with the ball mount portion. I have spoken with one of my contacts with Andersen Manufacturing who tells me that a 1-7/8 inch trailer ball is not available for the EZ Hitch Adjustable Steel Ball Mount. I understand that they currently have no plans to offer one.
Your best bet would be to go with the EZ Hitch you were looking at, part # AM3296. For your smaller trailer that uses the 1-7/8 inch ball, assuming that you are needing a maximum of an 10 inch drop I would suggest an adjustable ball mount like part # TK5007... view full answer...

Your problem is a common issue which we have the Hidden Hitch Ball Mount # 80232 to resolve. This ball mount is 15-3/4" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball mount. This is typically around 7-8" longer than most ball mounts. You will need a ball with a 1" shank which I have listed the different sizes below.

The ball mount (or stinger) is measured from the hitch pin hole to the center of the hitch ball or the center of the hitch ball hole if there is not an integrated hitch ball. The only greaseless hitch balls that are available are from Andersen and do require the Rapid Hitch Adjustable Ball Mounts, which come with greaseless hitch balls. I do have a solution that will allow you to use a 1-7/8 inch ball mount with the Diversi-Tech Adjustable Aluminum ball mount, but I spoke with my contact at Diversi-Tech and she told me that they do not offer a separate ball mount platform with a 1-7/8 inch ball mount.

Trailer hitch/vehicle towing capacities are limited by the lowest rated component in the setup. The Draw Tite hitch part # 76227 has a tongue weight capacity of 600 lbs which means it's over-built for your vehicle that has a 200 lb tongue weight rating.
You'd have to look into a small trailer to tow your motorcycle since a carrier option wouldn't be safe. For trailer wiring you'd need the # 118467 if you wanted to go that route.

The hitch needed will depend on if your Focus is an ST model. If it is, you'd need the Curt Class I hitch, part # C11431.
